Commonwealth Games swimmer returns to the pool after Newgate Lodge fulfils lifelong wish
Former Commonwealth Games swimmer Maureen Arnold, who taught swimming to generations in Mansfield, returned to the pool with the help of Newgate Lodge Care Home. Maureen, who competed internationally as Maureen Pitchfork, fulfilled her wish to swim again at the Rebecca Adlington Leisure Centre, supported by her family and local community partners. This event was significant as it reconnected her with a lifelong passion and highlighted her contributions to the local sporting community.
