£10k raised for disadvantaged youngsters as business side take on celebrity cricketers in final-ball thriller

A charity cricket match between business leaders and sporting veterans at Alderley Edge Cricket Club raised £10,000 for disadvantaged children. The Sticky Wicket XI, led by Chris Maguire, narrowly defeated the Wooden Spoon All Stars XI in a thrilling final-ball finish. The event, organised by the rugby charity Wooden Spoon, supported the Seashell Trust and included a charity auction and support from various sponsors.

Property and corporate finance big hitters to face sporting legends in Cheshire charity cricket match

Manchester business leaders will compete against sporting legends and celebrities in a charity cricket match organised by the Wooden Spoon rugby children’s charity to support the Seashell Trust.
